School of Architecture

B. ARCH - ARCHITECTURE

The school offers one degree program for undergraduates, i.e. The Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) program of 10-semester duration. The B.Arch degree program at Anand School of Architecture is recognized as one of India's premier and the most comprehensive programs in Architecture due to the thrust on contemporary issues such as sustainability, urban re-development etc. and continuous interaction with practicing architects of repute. It also offers a large number of elective studies, ensuring flexibility and a choice-based education tailored to their areas of special interest which may be urban design, landscape architecture, housing, project management, city planning etc.

The B.Arch degree program at Anand School of Architecture is approved by the Council of Architecture(COA), New Delhi and affiliated to the Anna University, Chennai.

This Institution is one among the several professional institutions run by Kalasalingam and Anandam Ammal Charities with the background of successfully running professional institutions for more than 25 years.


QUALIFICATION FOR ADMISSION

A pass in 10+2 or its equivalent having a minimum total aggregate of 50% with English and Mathematics as subjects of study or 10 + 3 Diploma (Any Stream) recognized by Central/State Government with 50% aggregate marks.

A pass in National Aptitude test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by the Council of Architecture (OR) A pass in JEE - Part - II.

No separate entrance examination will be conducted by Anand School of Architecture. However, the candidates have to apply in the prescribed application form for admission to B.Arch. program.


SCHOLARSHIP

Scholarship is coordinated with BC/MBC Welfare Board, SC/ST Welfare Board, Minority Welfare Board, and Labour Department to help the students by awarding scholarship. BC/MBC students can apply in the first year & continue to get till the final year as per eligibility norms. SC/ST students are offered scholarship by Government. Through Minority Welfare Board, minority community students get scholarship.

Through Labour Welfare Board, wards of Beedi workers, Cine field are eligible to get scholarship. In addition to this, through Human Resource Development, Central Sector Scheme recognizes students who get above 955 out of 1200 in the 12th std Tamil Nadu State Board Exam. Each student is given Rs.10, 000/- annually till the course is over.
